Furhtermore, in addition, two other legal structures within the legal framework of Madeira's IBC, such as the branch and the S.G.P.S. (Portuguese pure holding company) can be setup quickly and eficiently.

On another key note, we would like to point out that there is a European aproved state aid regime for Madeira. It is the Free Trade Zone or more commonly referred to as the International Business Center of Madeira(MIBC). What makes this regime worthwhile is that companies approved to work in legal setting are granted the lowest corporate tax rate of the European Union and one of the lowest corporate tax rates worldwide. How setup a company.

Steps

Understand the framework of your activity and all the regulations, legal, and tax obligations that the company will be bound by in the country where it will be operating. We can assist you by providing strong counsel on what to do.
Get the approval of the company's name.
Draw up the memorandum of association and apply for any licenses that may be necessary before taking care of the company registration process.
Register the Company in the competent Comercial Registrar of Portugal.
Draw up minutes, social security registration, and all the other formalities inherent in starting a business activity in Portugal.
